Because they have been subjected to futility through the sin of man.
Because they cannot bring happiness due to their instability, impermanence, and weakness- they are not fit companions to the greatness of the human as God’s image.
There falseness and deceit: they constantly appear to the eye unaided by grace and faith to be able to bring happiness.
