5. The ministry of the Word, an act of worship itself, is the key to coherent, corporate worship.
The time for the sermon is also a holy time; the messenger speaks for God! The message, therefore, must be biblically sound and divinely directed in its application. After all, the Word of God is never boring or irrelevant. An effective sermon will take a good deal of study and prayer to ensure that every word, every sentence, every idea in the message is what God wants declared from the text being expounded.
